FAQ

When are your uploaded orders printed?
Uploaded orders are downloaded Mon-Fri at 9am. Any orders received after 9am will not be downloaded & processed until the following business weekday. We are closed on weekends.

What are your normal turn around times?
803 Labs, Inc. has several different online products each has a slightly different delivery time.

  1. Emailed & Web Uploader orders are downloaded Mon-Fri at 9am. ProPrint orders received before 9AM are ready for pick up or shipping by 4PM. Enlargement orders received before 9AM are ready for pick up or shipping the next business day by 4PM. Gilcee orders received before 9AM are ready for pick up or shipping 2 business days by 4PM.
  2. ROES orders are downloaded Mon-Fri all day. ProPrint orders received before 10AM are ready for pick up or shipping by 4PM. Enlargement orders received before 10AM are ready for pick up or shipping the next business day by 4PM. Gilcee orders received before 10AM are ready for pick up or shipping 2 business days by 4PM.

Do you color correct each image?
Yes!!! All images are judged individually for color and density. We do not mass print. All prints are carefully printed with color correcting, color balancing and cropping for the best outcome possible just as we have been doing for more than a decade with your negatives. You do not need to spend your valuable time cropping or color correcting every image. Let the experts at 803 Labs, Inc. do that for you. If cropping & color corrections are critical, please contact us.

What Types of Files do you accept?
Both the Web Uploader & ROES will accept only 3 file types (.tif, .jpeg & .bmp). We can process RAW files but there are some limitations. Please contact us before sending RAW files with any of our online ordering syastems. If you are trying to send any other type of file please contact 803 Labs, Inc.

Can I Upload Images and files to 803?
It is very easy to use our Web Uploader and our ROES client. They can be accessed 24/7. We encourage you to try it out. The Web Uploader is perfect to send up to 5 images at one time. You do not have to sign up with us to use the Web Uploader. The ROES client are designed to send many images at once. You must sign up prior to your first use in order to send us images ROES. Please ask a Customer Service Tech to show you how easy it is to use. ROES is not recommended for dial up service.

What are your holiday dedlines?
Because Christmas is a busy time for all professionals, we make every effort to turn orders around as quickly as possible. Due to the sheer volume of work, our usual time frame for orders must be extended. We try not to impose any deadlines or cut offs unless necessary. Past experience has proven all orders are completed in time for Christmas. However, it is better not to wait until the last minute. Please make every effort to get your customers to place their orders early enough to guarantee delivery before Christmas. General deadline for Christmas:

Greeting    Cards    -    No Cut Off;
Manipulation    -    Dec.   20;
Canvas / Watercolors    -    Dec.    20;
Enlargements    -    Dec.    22

Do you offer discounts?
Professional photographer discounts will be extended to those professionals who meet minimum volume re- quirements set by our Imaging Lab. Account discount status is tracked and monitored. If you are interested in being considered for discount status, please ask a Customer Service Tech to set you up for tracking. You must sign up for the tracking system to be considered eligible for the professional discount program. All purchases, including equipment, film and printing, are applied to the monthly amount. Account discount privileges can be lost if the amount falls below a certain average.

What if I need a remake?
If an order is returned for a remake, we require that:

  1. You return the print that is to be remade.
  2. You return a copy of the sales receipt from the original order.
  3. You include clear instructions regarding what is to be corrected.
  4. You return the job WITHIN 3 DAYS FROM THE ORIGINAL ORDER PICK UP.
  5. Original order form and envelope must be returned.

How can I ensure the best print?
When print color and density are critical, please provide any material such as original photos, proofs, Polaroids™, art, color swatches, etc., with the original order. If a color guide is not provided and results are not to your satisfaction, we will charge you to redo the job. A test will be made for large quantity jobs to be approved before large print jobs are completed. Please add additional time for test/proofing.

Charge Accounts
Charge accounts are welcome and available. We will process any credit application we receive as quickly as possible. Upon approval, you will be notified of your credit limit.

Terms : Net 10th of the month. The end of the month for invoicing purposes is the 25th. Beginning with the 26th of the month, invoices are considered as business transactions for the following month. Payment shall be due in accordance with terms set forth by 803 Labs, Inc. 803 Labs, Inc. reserves the right to charge interest at the rate of 1½ % per month on all overdue balances, but in no event shall interest exceed the maximum rate by law The amount of the credit extended may change from time to time or be entirely revoked by 803 Labs, Inc. If the amount of credit available is exhausted, 803 Labs, Inc. may at its discretion require payment in full, without awaiting the due date and require the buyer to pay cash for future purchases. In the event of default in payment, buyer is liable for collection and court costs including reasonable attorney’s fee.

Limit Of Liability

Submitting any film, print, slide, CD, digital media, positive or negative to this company for processing, represents an AGREEMENT by you that any damages or loss by our company, subsidiary or agents, will only entitle you to replacement with a like amount of unexposed film/ digital media and processing. Except for such replacement the acceptance of film, slide, CD, digital media, positive or negative is without warranty or liability, and recovery for incidental or consequential damages is excluded. 803 Labs, Inc. is not responsible for any work left over 30 days.

All unclaimed orders left after 90 days may be destroyed on occasion. 803 Labs, Inc. will hold original negatives or original work for a short period of time but this is highly discouraged. We may do this service as a courtesy to the best of our ability with no responsibilty whatsoever for loss, damage or originals being handed to the photographer’s customers, clients, friends, relatives, or representatives.
